On Thursday, 05.03.2026, we spent the day in Ivanić-Grad focusing on cooperation, European values, and cultural exchange.
At around 08:00 in the morning, we took the train to Ivanić-Grad to visit a local school. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the school’s principal. After the welcome, we were given a guided tour through the school, where we had the opportunity to see the classrooms and learn more about the school environment and daily life of the students.
From 10:00 to 12:00, we participated in a workshop where we worked in groups to prepare presentations about different scenarios related to European Union rights and values. The topics included questions such as whether students are allowed to show their religion in school by wearing symbols like a cross necklace or a headscarf, the gender pay gap, and the use of cameras in schools. In our groups, we discussed these topics, shared different perspectives, and worked together to develop conclusions and possible solutions. The activity helped us better understand the importance of human rights, equality, and respectful dialogue within the European Union.
Between 12:00 and 13:00, we visited the Naftalan Rehabilitation Center in Ivanić-Grad. During the tour, we learned about the unique medical treatments offered there and how the center helps patients with rehabilitation and recovery.
At 13:00, we went to a restaurant together where we had lunch and spent some time relaxing and talking with the other participants.
Later, at around 15:00, we took part in another workshop. In this activity, we worked in groups to build airbags similar to those used at airports for safe landings or protection. The task required teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
After finishing the workshop, we took the train back to Zagreb, reflecting on a day full of learning, cooperation, and new experiences.
