Model European Parliament (1-3 July 2026)

Five engaged students from the LTETT participated in the Model European Parliament Luxembourg, where they debated European issues, represented different viewpoints, and experienced democratic decision-making in a realistic parliamentary setting. The event also enabled them to exchange ideas with students from other schools and strengthen their understanding of active European citizenship.

Here are some quotes from our delegates:

“I enjoyed my first MEP a lot. It was a great opportunity to see Politics from a certain point of view and experience how they work first hand. To work with people who are interested, competent and willingly to discuss with each other was really refreching.” (Max, 2GSO)

“Returning to the Model European Parliament as a participant for the third time was both challenging and rewarding. Building on previous experience allowed me to contribute more confidently to committee discussions, support first-time delegates, and further strengthen my negotiation, leadership, and public speaking skills. I encourage everyone who has the opportunity to participate to embrace the opportunity. Each session offers new debates, new perspectives, and invaluable personal growth.” (Elodie, 2GSO)

“The MEP was an amazing experience that I won’t forget. I learned how to debate, keep a conversation in English and about our Problems in the EU. I made some new amazing Friendships that I hope to keep and I recommend this experience to everyone who loves to debate and to talk about Politics. It was really refreshing to speak with people who are interested in the same political topics an who know what they’re talking about.” (Shana, 2GCC)

“During those three days, I actually learned a lot—really, really a lot. It was only three days, but that was enough to make a lot of progress. At first, I was really scared that I wouldn’t be able to do it and that my English would be bad, but that wasn’t the case at all—on the contrary, I overcame my fear, took on responsibility, grew as a person, participated in debates, and met a lot of cool new people from different schools and made friends. Please, if you ever have the chance to take part in something this cool like an MEP be brave and have confidence and join you’ll have the best three days of your life.” (Maxime, 2GSO)
