Report of day 1 :
On Monday , 02.03.2026 we met at Srednja škola Dugo Selo, where we were warmly welcomed by our host and met students from our partner schools: HTL St. Pölten (Austria), Dugo Selo High School (Croatia), Srednja škola Ivan Švear Ivanić Grad (Croatia), Gottlieb Daimler Schule 2 (Germany) and Colegiul Național „Unirea” High School (Romania).
To get to know each other, we first sat at different tables and had conversations with students from the other schools. Afterwards, we were officially welcomed by the headmaster.
We then explored the school in small groups and were shown around the different classrooms and facilities.
Some students presented their school and gave us insights into their daily school life. Afterwards, we all went to a restaurant for lunch together.
After lunch, we returned to the school, where two representatives of VSB, a local wind energy company, gave us a presentation about wind turbines and wind power in Croatia.
Later, we learned about the old Croatian script and even tried writing something ourselves. We also received an overview of Croatian history and modern developments in the country.
In the afternoon, we went back to Zagreb for a city tour. We visited several interesting places, including beautiful viewpoints and a long tunnel in the city center.
In the evening, we enjoyed a nice dinner together at a restaurant.
